स्वर्णवर्णं देदीप्यमानं देवानां गुरुं ज्ञानप्रदायकम्। वज्रहस्तं च सर्वज्ञं बृहस्पतिं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥
Transliteration
Swarnavarnam dedipyamanam devanam gurum jnana-pradayakam | Vajra-hastam cha sarvajnam brihaspatim pranamamyaham ||
Meaning / Translation
I bow to Lord Brihaspati, who is of golden complexion, radiant and shining, the Guru of the Devas, the bestower of wisdom, possessing a mighty hand, and the all-knowing one.

देवगुरुं ज्ञानगुणसागरं सर्वसिद्धिविधानकरम्। बुद्धिप्रदं च शुभप्रदं च विश्वं पातु गुरुः सदा॥
Transliteration
Devagurum jnana-guna-sagarum sarva-siddhi-vidhana-karam | Buddhi-pradam cha shubha-pradam cha vishvam patu guruh sada ||
Meaning / Translation
May the Guru of the Gods, who is an ocean of knowledge and virtues, the one who facilitates all perfections, the giver of intellect and auspiciousness, always protect the entire universe.

Om, let us meditate upon the Lord who carries the bull as his emblem, the descendant of the Guru; may Lord Brihaspati inspire and illuminate our intellect.
