Narasimha Pranama

नमस्ते नृसिंहाय प्रह्लादाह्लाददायिने । हिरण्यकशिपुवधाय क्रोधरूपाय सेव्यते ॥
Transliteration
Namaste narasimhaya prahlada-hlada-dayine | Hiranyakashipu-vadhaya krodha-rupaya sevyate ||
Meaning / Translation
I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha, who provides great joy to His devotee Prahlada, who destroyed the demon Hiranyakashipu, and who is worshipped in His fierce and angry form.

उग्रं वीरं महाविष्णुं ज्वलन्तं सर्वतोमुखम् । नृसिंहं भीषणं भद्रं मृत्युमृत्युं नमाम्यहम् ॥
Transliteration
Ugram viram mahavishnum jvalantam sarvatomukham | Nrsimham bhishanam bhadram mrityu-mrityum namamyaham ||
Meaning / Translation
I bow to the ferocious and heroic Maha Vishnu, who shines with divine light and faces all directions. I salute the terrifying yet auspicious Narasimha, who is the death of death itself.
