Victory to Sage Valmiki, O Lord, glory to Sage Valmiki.

Stanza 1: The First Poet

Original

आदि कवि तुम कहलाते, रामायण के रचनाकार। ज्ञान की गंगा बहाई, महिमा अपरंपार॥

Transliteration

Adi Kavi tum kehlate, Ramayan ke rachnakar. Gyan ki Ganga bahayi, mahima aparampaar.

Meaning / Translation

You are known as the Adi Kavi (the first poet), the creator of the Ramayana. You flowed the Ganges of knowledge, your glory is infinite.

Stanza 2: Penance and Character

Original

कठिन तपस्या की तुमने, ब्रह्मचर्य का पालन किया। ऋषियों में तुम श्रेष्ठ हो, सबका मन तूने जीत लिया॥

Transliteration

Kathin tapasya ki tumne, brahmacharya ka paalan kiya. Rishiyon mein tum shreshth ho, sabka mann tune jeet liya.

Meaning / Translation

You performed intense penance and followed the path of celibacy. You are the greatest among all sages, and you have won the hearts of all.

Stanza 3: The Messenger of Dharma

राम कथा को गाकर, जग को मार्ग दिखाया। सत्य और धर्म का, पावन पथ समझाया॥

Transliteration

Ram katha ko gaakar, jag ko maarg dikhaya. Satya aur dharm ka, paavan path samjhaya.

Meaning / Translation

By singing the sacred story of Lord Rama, you showed the way to the world. You explained the holy path of truth and righteousness.

Stanza 4: Conclusion and Blessings

जो भी आरती गाए, मन से श्रद्धा लाए। वाल्मीकि देव की कृपा, सुख और शांति पाए॥

Transliteration

Jo bhi aarti gaaye, mann se shraddha laaye. Valmiki Dev ki kripa, sukh aur shanti paaye.

Meaning / Translation

Whoever sings this Aarti with deep devotion in their heart, shall receive the grace of Lord Valmiki and attain happiness and peace.
